Nassau OEM Holds MERV Training Session in Wantagh

WANTAGH, N.Y. — 26th April — The Nassau County Office of Emergency Management recently attended a presentation on the county's Major Emergency Response Vehicle (MERV) at the Wantagh Fire Department, situated at 2995 Jerusalem Ave. in Wantagh, NY, United States, 11793. OEM representatives talked about the vehicle's function in major incidents, including coordination between emergency services, command operations, and communications assistance.


Additionally, department members had the chance to examine the equipment on board and have a tour of the MERV. According to department officials, the training gave firefighters and EMS workers a greater awareness of the county's emergency resources that are accessible during significant incidents and regional response operations across Nassau County.
