The Sound Beach Fire Department honored the commitment and devotion of its volunteer firefighters on May 4th in observance of International Firefighters' Day.

Department personnel continue to respond to medical crises, fires, and rescues at all times while juggling personal, professional, and familial obligations, according to officials. The department expressed gratitude to current and former employees for their dedication, sacrifice, and ongoing support of the Sound Beach community.

Additionally, the department urged those who were interested in volunteering to find out more about becoming a member and giving back to the community.
