TOWNVILLE, PA — May 4th — The Department Townville VFD & Ambulance contribution honored firefighters and emergency responders for their community contribution on International Firefighters' Day. Every year on May 4th, International firemen' Day honors firemen all over the world for their contributions to public safety education, emergency medical response, rescue operations, and fire suppression. Officials from the department also thanked members, both present and past, for their continued support of emergency operations across Crawford County.

According to officials, firemen frequently respond in all weather conditions and at all times, collaborating with local mutual aid organizations, EMS, and police enforcement. Residents were urged to honor local firemen and express gratitude to emergency personnel for their ongoing dedication to community service and public safety.
