GUYS MILLS, PA — April 25th — Townville Volunteer Fire Department and Townville Ambulance Service attended a vehicle extraction training session hosted by Randolph Volunteer Fire Department 18. Hands-on rescue scenarios involving vehicle stability, patient access, and hydraulic rescue tool operations were practiced by firefighters and emergency medical services professionals. Additionally, during simulated crash occurrences, crews practiced coordinating medical treatment and hazard control.
Joint training exercises, according to officials, improve coordination and communication between fire and EMS departments during emergency situations. Responders continue to gain invaluable practice managing situations on rural roads in Crawford County and neighboring towns through vehicle extraction drills.
