MENDHAM, NJ — April 29th — When Quint 3 was asked to help Brookside Engine Company 1 with a cat caught in a tree, firefighters from the Mendham Fire Department were sent into Mendham Township. Using ladder operations and coordinated ground assistance, crews collaborated with the Brookside Fire Department to safely remove the animal. The cat was brought down unharmed.
According to officials, many fire crews still regularly handle animal rescue calls, which frequently demand for patience and coordination. Throughout Morris County, community support and emergency operations are strengthened by adjacent agencies' mutual help actions.
