Albion Firefighters Respond to 68 Incidents in April

According to the department's monthly activity report, the Albion Fire Department and Albion Joint Fire District responded to 68 occurrences in total in April.


According to officials, during the month, firefighters responded to 24 EMS calls and 44 fire-related calls, totaling 280 events for the department thus far this year. Responses included 20 public assist calls, 24 emergency medical service incidents, nine fire alarm activations, seven hazardous condition calls, three non-building fires, two motor vehicle accidents, two mutual aid responses, and one rescue-related incident involving a Mercy Flight landing zone.


Additionally, the department declared that membership applications are now being accepted.
