Members of the Commodore Volunteer Fire Department spoke to students about the risks of driving while intoxicated at a pre-prom assembly at Purchase Line High School on May 8.
Firefighters talked about how alcohol-related driving decisions can impact people's lives, families, and future prospects, according to officials. After prom events, the department stressed the significance of making responsible decisions, watching out for friends, and setting up safe transportation.
Additionally, the agency expressed gratitude to the Pennsylvania State Police for participating in the presentation and supporting the public safety message. According to officials, the program's objective was to encourage students to enjoy prom in a responsible and safe manner.
