ELGIN, NY — May 10th — On Mother's Day, the Lyndon NY Fire Co. honored the moms and family members who provide year-round support to firemen and emergency responders. Families frequently play a significant role in assisting volunteer and career responders in juggling emergency calls, training schedules, and community service obligations, according to department officials. The celebration was also used by firefighters throughout New York to honor the support and encouragement they received from their parents and loved ones over their years of service.

The department, which is located at 828 Lyndon Center Road in Elgin, celebrated the holiday with other organizations in the area. The close relationship between community service, family support, and the day-to-day operations of volunteer and career fire departments is still acknowledged by emergency service groups.
