LITTLE VALLEY, NY — April 20th — Recently, members of the Little Valley Fire Department participated in a joint drill with the Cattaraugus Volunteer Fire Department that focused on coordinated fireground operations and teamwork. Multi-agency drills, according to department officials, assist firemen in enhancing communication, operational effectiveness, and familiarity with other departments prior to cooperating during real emergencies. During the training session, crews went over coordinated response protocols and practical fireground tasks.

The department, which has its headquarters at 101 Third Street in Little Valley, frequently takes part in Cattaraugus County's regional mutual aid drills. In order to remain prepared for structural fires, rescue operations, and other emergency situations that call for collaboration between adjacent departments, fire service chiefs continue to stress the significance of continuous training.
