Linesville Firefighters Equipment Improvements

LINESVILLE, PA — May 1st — In order to examine and approve a 2026 Ford F-550 Super Duty chassis for the department's new brush and utility unit, members of the Linesville Volunteer Fire Department recently drove to Mercer. According to department officials, the device will assist lessen the strain on larger engines during brush and off-road accidents by increasing crew capacity from three to five firemen. Fall 2026 is when the chassis is planned to be delivered to Fire-Fly Fire Equipment, Inc. for upfitting.


In order to improve access to distant water sources during rural fire operations, the department also upgraded its UTV trailer to carry extra hard suction sections. Lubiniecki Welding & Equipment provided the work for the trailer.
