Nelson, NH - Nelson Fire & Rescue hosted a large-scale, multi-agency training exercise bringing together approximately 50–55 firefighters and emergency medical personnel from multiple departments, along with support from Cheshire EMS and the Red Cross.

The training began with five rotating skill stations, allowing crews to refine a range of operational competencies before transitioning into a live burn scenario incorporating simulated patient injuries. The exercise also highlighted the use of drone technology, provided by the Red Cross, demonstrating its value in incident assessment and operational support.

Participating agencies included Nelson, Stoddard, Marlow, Gilsum, Sullivan, New Boston, Walpole, Alstead, Marlborough (NH), WMUR, and The Keene Sentinel. The department extended appreciation to all instructors and partners, including Dave Jones for coordination efforts, John Montes and the Red Cross team, and Roy Juergens for contributing to the success of the training.
