New Leadership Named at Delevan Fire Department

DELEVAN, NY — April 22nd — The officers who will oversee the department during its 135th year of community service were announced by members of the Delevan Vol. Fire Department & Rescue Squad. The department, which was first established in 1891 as Star Hose, still offers fire and emergency medical services in the Delevan region. Chief Jeff Holmes, First Assistant Chief Andy Eastman, and Second Assistant Chief Chris Hazeltine are among the incoming leadership.


Melissa Harhigh will be the secretary, while Caleb Washburn will be the vice president. Lieutenants Alex Delude and Donna Lavery, as well as Captain Ryan Ward, hold senior roles in EMS. Later this week, during the department's annual Installation of Officers Banquet, incoming officers will be properly sworn in.
