LOCK HAVEN, PA — April 26th — Following the death of firefighter Gary Royer, members of the Pleasant Gap Fire Company and the Royer family received condolences from Citizens Hose Company No. 5. Royer's service and dedication to the fire service community were acknowledged by departments throughout central Pennsylvania. Throughout his years of service, he was described by fellow firefighters as a committed member who helped both his department and the locals.

Strong ties between volunteer fire companies in the area are reflected in the assistance that the loss received from nearby emergency response organizations. During the time of sorrow, members of Citizens Hose Company No. 5 provided assistance to Royer's friends, family, and fellow firefighters.
