In commemoration of firefighters who lost their lives while performing their duties, the Bristol Borough Fire Department observed the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend in Emmitsburg, Maryland, on May 1.
In particular, the department honored Foreman Walter Moore, Captain Wesley Evans, Assistant Chief Julian R. Bley Sr., and Fire Police Captain David A. Wintz Sr., who all died while serving Bristol Borough and surrounding areas.
According to officials, the department's continued dedication to training, emergency response, and community protection serves as a reminder of the firefighters' sacrifice and devotion.
