Lisbon, ME - Members of the Lisbon Fire Department recently trained alongside their mutual aid partners from Durham Fire and Rescue during a comprehensive water rescue operations exercise designed to strengthen emergency response capabilities.

The training included both classroom instruction and hands-on practical scenarios, with crews focusing on rescue equipment, water rescue tactics, and coordinated boat operations. Firefighters worked together to improve communication and teamwork during high-risk emergency situations on the water.

Department officials said training with mutual aid partners plays a critical role in ensuring responders are fully prepared for water rescue incidents and other complex emergencies within the community.

The Lisbon Fire Department also encouraged community members interested in serving their town to learn more about joining the department by visiting the station or reaching out directly.
