Live Fire Training Builds Skill, Confidence, and Teamwork
Litchfield, CT - The Litchfield Fire Department and Morris Fire Company conducted their annual live burn training at the Litchfield County Regional Fire School, providing members with critical hands-on experience under controlled fire conditions.
Crews rotated through a series of interior fire scenarios, strengthening their skills in fire attack, search and rescue, rapid intervention team (RIT) operations, and fireground communication. Operating in high heat, heavy smoke, and zero-visibility environments, firefighters relied on their training, coordination, and trust in one another to safely complete each evolution.
Training of this nature plays a vital role in developing both confidence and operational readiness, ensuring that members are prepared to perform effectively when real-world emergencies arise.
A special thank you goes out to the Litchfield Fire Auxiliary for their support throughout the day, keeping crews fueled and hydrated.
