Members of the Township of Spring Fire Rescue Services practiced forceful entry operations on Monday night, April 20.

Firefighters rehearsed using simple hand tools, such as the Halligan bar and flat head axe combo known as a "marriage," to break through locked doors using the department's door simulator.

According to officials, members later rehearsed breaking through doors that opened both in the direction of and away from the operator and finished full-speed forced entrance evolutions while donning full personal protection equipment.
