LEVERETT, MA — April 21st — At the New Hampshire Department of Safety, Chief Visniewski and Deputy Chief Rice of the Leverett Fire/EMS participated in emergency operations training with an emphasis on Emergency Operations Center administration. The seminar addressed collaboration during major incidents, including communication, resource management, and operational assistance, according to department officials. During significant events, firefighting and emergency response operations are supported by Leverett's Emergency Operations Center, which is housed at the Public Safety Complex.

The Joshua Hill Fire in 2020, which necessitated prolonged activities and regional mutual aid assistance, was the last time the EOC was engaged, according to the agency. According to fire department leaders, ongoing emergency management training enhances coordination and readiness for major community-affecting incidents.
