Zoë Antipas Honored at Annual Fire Banquet

MYSTIC, CT — April 18th — At its annual banquet, the Old Mystic Fire Department named firefighter Zoë Antipas Firefighter of the Year. According to department representatives, the medal honors commitment to community service, emergency response, and training all year long. Antipas received recognition for his ongoing assistance with departmental operations, emergency situations, and public events that benefit the Old Mystic neighborhood.


Firefighters, officers, family members, and neighborhood supporters came together for the annual banquet to honor departmental accomplishments and years of service. According to fire service authorities, honors like Firefighter of the Year serve to draw attention to the dedication personnel exhibit during regular department operations as well as on emergency scenes. Members of the department commended Antipas on his continuing dedication and recognition.
