WEST HAVEN, CT — April 25th — In an effort to encourage kids to drive safely, the West Haven Fire Department participated in a fake crash demonstration at West Haven High School alongside nearby emergency services and community partners. During the full-scale practice, firefighters from all three municipal districts collaborated with the West Haven Police Department, American Medical Response of New Haven, West Haven Professional 911 Dispatchers—IAFF Local 5127—West Haven Funeral Home, and Bruneau's Garage Inc.

Before prom and graduation season, students learned about the risks of distracted and drunk driving while watching crews perform emergency medical procedures, scene management, and patient extrication.
