In advance of Memorial Day celebrations and the truck's impending 100th anniversary in June 2027, the Hardwick Fire Department recognized nearby companies on May 3rd for helping with restoration work on the department's historic Concord fire vehicle.

According to officials, The Vintage Garage offered its time to assist with the upkeep of the vintage equipment and assess a crack in the engine head that would need expert repairs. Additionally, the agency expressed gratitude to E&M Towing and Recovery for providing free truck transportation to and from the garage.

According to the department, the support continues efforts to preserve a significant portion of the history of the Hardwick fire service while preserving monies for future parts and repairs.
