The first Stroke Awareness and Prevention Session was held at the Avon Council on Aging on May 7th by the Avon Fire Department and the Avon Board of Health.
Identifying stroke warning signals, comprehending risk factors, lowering stroke risk, and knowing when to dial 911 were the main topics of the workshop. Additionally, officials offered free blood pressure checks and talked about the significance of keeping an eye on blood pressure, which is still a major risk factor for stroke.
