West Paris Firefighters Complete Busy Week of Training, Calls

After a week of training and emergency response, the West Paris Fire Department honored members and mutual aid partners on April 27.


Firefighters received training from the Woodstock Fire Department throughout the week in search and rescue techniques, ventilation, and ladder operations. Alongside the Paris Fire Department, members took part in CMP live line training.


According to officials, firefighters responded to a structure fire in Norway that same evening after completing a 14-hour live burn training exercise as part of a basic school program. Crews responded to a building and outdoor fire in Woodstock the next day.


The department also recognized firefighter Andy, who is currently attending Firefighter 1 and 2 classes in Fairfield. West Paris officials thanked mutual aid partners including Woodstock, Paris, Greenwood, and Norway for their continued support and teamwork.
