Hands-On Extrication Training Strengthens Rescue Readiness

Foster, RI - Members of the South Foster Volunteer Fire Company EMS Division conducted comprehensive training focused on vehicle extrication and rescue operations, sharpening critical skills for roadway emergencies.


Crews worked extensively with hydraulic extrication tools, the Rescue Jack stabilization system, and high-pressure air lifting bags, practicing vehicle stabilization, lifting techniques, and patient access in realistic scenarios.


Such training ensures responders remain prepared for complex incidents ranging from motor vehicle crashes to heavy rescue situations.


Regular drills enhance teamwork, improve coordination, and reinforce the safe operation of specialized equipment.


The department recognizes the dedication of its members who continue to train and build their expertise in service to the community.
