Richmond, RI - Firefighters with the Richmond-Carolina Fire District conducted hands-on training focused on drafting water from a static source, reinforcing a critical skill for rural firefighting operations.
With much of the district lacking access to a municipal water system, crews routinely depend on tanker shuttles and drafting from natural sources such as ponds and rivers to sustain fire suppression efforts.
The training emphasized efficient water movement, apparatus positioning, and coordination to ensure a reliable water supply during emergency incidents across the district’s coverage area.
