Full-Time Crews Participate in Hands-On Training in Hermon

HERMON, ME — April 14th — As part of continuous efforts to improve their operational preparedness and skills, members of the Town of Hermon Fire Department participated in training exercises during the day. Regular drills, according to department officials, assist firemen stay proficient in hose operations, equipment handling, apparatus setup, and emergency response protocols. In order to be ready for weather-related disasters, auto accidents, medical crises, and building fires, career and volunteer crews throughout Maine continue to get frequent training.
Regular practical training enhances teamwork, communication, and site safety during emergency operations, according to fire department commanders. As incidents get increasingly complicated and necessitate cooperation between fire, EMS, and law enforcement agencies during emergency responses, departments across the state continue to place a strong emphasis on practical field training.
