Salisbury Firefighters Recognize Public Safety Dispatchers

SALISBURY, MA — April 13th — During Public Safety Dispatchers Appreciation Week, members of Salisbury Firefighters Local 4694 expressed gratitude to emergency communications staff for their assistance with everyday fire, emergency medical services, and police operations. The business, which is located at 37 Lafayette Road, recognized the importance of dispatchers in tracking equipment, coordinating emergency responses, responding to 911 calls, and keeping field teams and emergency communications centers informed.


During emergencies, dispatchers are frequently the initial point of contact and give responding units vital information. Every April, the country observes Public Safety Dispatchers Appreciation Week to honor emergency telecommunicators for their contributions to public safety organizations and community emergency response coordination.
