Marblehead Fire Department Mourns Fallen State Trooper

MARBLEHEAD, MA — May 5th — Following a Route 1 collision that resulted in the death of a state trooper, the Marblehead Fire Department sent condolences to the Massachusetts State Police. While acknowledging the risks encountered on a regular basis by emergency responders working on highways and disaster scenes, department officials offered support to the trooper's family, friends, and fellow law enforcement officers.


Together with other Massachusetts public safety organizations, the Marblehead Fire Department, situated at 1 Ocean Avenue, honored the trooper's sacrifice and service. The significance of traffic safety, scene awareness, and protective measures during emergency operations is still highlighted by incidents involving responders on roadways. When approaching emergency scenes and stopped response vehicles, drivers are frequently reminded by public safety leaders around the state to slow down and move over.
