Seymour Fire Service Community Pays Tribute to Christopher Cowell Sr.

SEYMOUR, CT — April 14th — In honor of Christopher Cowell Sr.'s years of devotion to the department and the Seymour fire service community, the Great Hill Hose Co. announced his passing. Cowell's accomplishments throughout his tenure at 140 Botsford Road were recognized and sympathies were offered by department members. In addition to supporting department operations and traditions during many years of service, officials observed that seasoned members and past officers frequently assist in mentoring rookie firefighters.


Connecticut's volunteer fire departments continue to pay tribute to former members whose dedication bolstered community ties and emergency response operations. Cowell's contribution to the department's lengthy history of volunteer firefighting in Seymour was acknowledged.
