Richmond, RI - Richmond–Carolina Fire District junior members took part in a dynamic training session, gaining valuable experience with both EMS and extrication equipment.
Crews welcomed the Hope Valley Ambulance Squad for an up-close look at ambulance operations, where participants learned to use tools including stretchers, stair chairs, and Reeves stretchers.
Training then shifted to hydraulic rescue tools, with members practicing skills using spreaders and cutters.
To challenge their precision and control, participants completed a hands-on exercise removing an egg from a cone without breaking it.
The session highlighted the dedication and enthusiasm of the department’s junior firefighters as they continue building essential skills for the future.
