Fairfield, CT - The Fairfield Fire Department joined the Fairfield Police Department, Fairfield County Regional Dispatch Center, American Medical Response, Bridgeport Hospital, and Lesko Funeral Home at Fairfield Warde High School to stage a realistic mock crash involving an impaired driver.

The coordinated demonstration walked students through the full sequence of a serious motor vehicle accident, from a simulated 911 call and emergency dispatch to extrication, patient care, law enforcement investigation, hospital treatment, and funeral services. Students took part as victims, adding to the realism of the event.

Officials emphasized the program’s mission to educate young drivers on the devastating, life-altering consequences of impaired driving and the impact it has on victims, families, and entire communities.
