The Monson Fire Department-sponsored Regional Firefighter 1 class received hands-on practical training on ladders from the Bondsville Fire Department on April 26.

Due to station improvements at Monson Fire, the training was moved to Bondsville. Throughout the program, a number of local departments have been sharing hosting duties for the mandatory training sessions, according to officials.

As part of the firefighting 1 certification process, the workshop concentrated on ladder operations and practical firefighting abilities.
