Multiple Departments Participated in Water Supply Training

TUCKERTON, N.J. — April 10th — Several fire departments from Ocean and Burlington counties participated in a tanker task force drill organized by members of Parkertown Volunteer Fire Company. Tanker shuttle operations, rural water supply strategies, and mutual help coordination in situations involving restricted hydrant access were the main topics of the training.
Stafford Township Volunteer Fire Company #1, Mystic Island Volunteer Fire Company, West Tuckerton Volunteer Fire Company, Waretown Volunteer Fire Company, New Egypt Volunteer Fire Company No. 1, New Gretna Volunteer Fire Company, Lower Bank Volunteer Fire Company, Pleasant Plains Volunteer Fire Department, and Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Company #1 Station 34 were among the departments that took part. Through the simulation, crews were able to maintain preparedness for large-scale disaster responses, enhance interagency communication, and improve water movement operations.
