LANOKA HARBOR, N.J. — May 4th — On International Firefighters Day, members of Lanoka Harbor Vol. Fire Co. #1 were honored for their ongoing community contribution. The department recognized the commitment of firemen who support fire prevention and training initiatives all year long, respond to emergencies, and provide mutual aid to other departments.


Every year on May 4th, people celebrate International Firefighters Day to honor firefighters everywhere for their dedication to public safety. Members routinely train, maintain equipment, and stay ready to respond to fires, medical calls, and other emergencies throughout the region, according to department officials. The agency expressed gratitude to its firemen for their expertise and daily dedication to safeguarding the inhabitants of Lanoka Harbor.
