Mock Crash Demonstration Highlights Dangers of Impaired and Distracted Driving

Bridgeport, CT - The Bridgeport Fire Department, in coordination with the Bridgeport Police Department and AMR, conducted a mock vehicle extrication exercise for juniors and seniors at Fairchild Wheeler Magnet School.


The demonstration simulated a serious motor vehicle crash, allowing students to observe emergency personnel performing a coordinated extrication response.


Crews showcased the tools, techniques, and teamwork required to safely remove victims from a wrecked vehicle.


The exercise also emphasized the real-life consequences of impaired and distracted driving, providing students with a powerful visual reminder of the risks and the impact such decisions can have on lives and families.
