Somers Fire Department Responds to Head-On Crash Involving Three Vehicles

Three cars and many patients were involved in a reported head-on collision near Sonny's Place on May 30. Somers Fire Department personnel went to the scene.
According to officials, the call was placed at around 2:40 p.m. Three cars were involved in the crash when firefighters swiftly arrived. Enfield EMS was asked to help with medical transport due to the volume of patients.
Firefighters rescued two people who were stranded inside one of the cars. Patients were attended to by emergency personnel prior to being evacuated for additional assessment and care.
At around 3:10 p.m., the site was turned over to the Connecticut State Police for investigation once the event was brought under control.
