Marine Readiness Strengthened Through Hands-On Training
New Fairfield, CT - The New Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department recently conducted a comprehensive marine familiarization training involving its three vessels—Marine 1, Marine 10, and Marine 17.
The session focused on preparing crews for the upcoming boating season by reinforcing operational knowledge and sharpening critical skills.
The training provided a valuable opportunity to both refresh experienced members and support the development of newer personnel.
Crews reviewed vessel operations, safety procedures, and response strategies to ensure a high level of readiness on the water.
In addition, the department incorporated driver/operator training for upcoming boat operators.
This hands-on experience is designed to build confidence and competence, ensuring safe and effective responses during marine incidents throughout the season.
