On May 4, the Bergen Fire Department honored firefighters both domestically and internationally in observance of International Firefighters' Day.
The fire service's key values—courage, sacrifice, training, teamwork, and dedication to assisting others during emergencies—were emphasized by officials. Additionally, the department recognized the families that provide behind-the-scenes support to firefighters.
