Binghamton Fire Assists in Technical Rope Rescue Following Creek Fall

Binghamton, NY - Binghamton Fire Department responded on mutual aid to Port Crane for an incident involving an individual who had fallen approximately 25 feet into a creek.


Due to the remote location and complexity of the scene, technical rescue personnel were requested. Firefighters worked to package and stabilize the patient before executing a rope rescue to raise the individual from the creek bed for transport to a local hospital.


The incident required coordinated rescue operations and highlights the importance of ongoing training for low-frequency, high-risk emergencies.
