Multi-Agency Training Enhances High-Angle Rescue Preparedness at Penobscot Narrows

Stockton Springs, ME - Firefighters from the Stockton Springs Fire Department, alongside Stockton Springs Ambulance and the Prospect Fire Department, participated in their annual training exercise at the Penobscot Narrows Bridge Observatory.


The training focused on specialized rescue operations in a unique high-angle environment, allowing crews to sharpen skills required for incidents involving elevated structures.


Working together, responders practiced coordination, safety procedures, and technical rescue techniques essential for complex emergencies.


The joint exercise reinforced interagency teamwork and ensured all participating departments remain prepared for challenging rescue scenarios in the region.
