BERLIN, MA — April 28th — The Eversource Energy-hosted Advanced Firefighter Training Academy was attended by members of the Berlin Fire & EMS Department.
The training's main focus was on how to handle gas emergencies properly, including how to find gas leaks and respond to them. Instruction was given by local specialists in the sector, who offered useful advice based on actual events.
In order to reinforce safe operating procedures in dangerous situations, participants also finished practical evolutions including the putting out of high-pressure gas line fires.
