Rutland, VT - West Pawlet Volunteer Fire Department members took part in another training session focusing on pump operations and dry hydrant testing—key skills for effective firefighting in non-hydrant areas.

Crews worked hands-on with drafting techniques, ensuring apparatus could reliably establish and maintain water flow from static sources.

Particular attention was given to a primary dry hydrant located behind the Old Chevy Garage, a critical water supply point for incidents within the Village of West Pawlet.

Regular training at these sites helps ensure familiarity with equipment and locations, allowing firefighters to operate efficiently and maintain a dependable water supply during emergency responses.
