Rutland, VT - Members of the West Pawlet Volunteer Fire Department completed an intensive Hose Line Operations course led by instructor Jim Acome of Youngstown Fire, supported by a skilled training staff.
Firefighters trained alongside personnel from Rupert VT Volunteer Fire Department, Pawlet Volunteer Fire Department, and Penrhyn Engine & Hose (Middle Granville Fire Department), fostering strong interdepartmental coordination and teamwork.
The training combined classroom instruction with extensive hands-on evolutions, focusing on hose line advancement, various hose loads, navigating tight spaces, effective hose handling techniques, and hydraulic ventilation.
Hosted across multiple locations, the course provided realistic scenarios that enhanced operational readiness and reinforced the importance of collaboration on the fireground.
