This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

East Brookfield, MA — April 14th — Dry hydrant operations training was held at several locations throughout the town by the East Brookfield Fire Department, located at 273 E Main Street. Crews worked on drafting from static water sources, practicing prime, firm suction, and consistent water flow. Additionally, members focused on coordinating tanker operations and situating equipment.

In places without municipal water supplies, dry hydrants are essential because they offer a dependable supply during building fires. Frequent practical training guarantees that workers can reach these locations fast and keep a steady flow of water throughout protracted events. This kind of training enhances staff coordination and helps standardize operations. The session supported ongoing operational readiness and was finished without any problems.
