Hands-On Tower Training Builds Next Generation of Truck Company Operators

Beaver, PA - Brighton Township Volunteer Fire Department personnel conducted focused training on Tower 63, where Firefighter Joshua Dahma worked alongside experienced members to develop essential truck company skills.


The session covered critical operations including proper outrigger deployment for apparatus stability and safe aerial platform use from both pedestal and platform controls.


Emphasis was placed on precision, situational awareness, and adherence to safety protocols.


By proactively engaging in advanced training ahead of eligibility for driver/operator certification, Dahma is building a strong foundation that will enhance future fireground performance.


The training reflects the department’s commitment to mentorship, continuous improvement, and maintaining a high level of operational readiness.
