Charlton, MA — March 28th — During a regular training session, the Charlton Fire Department, located at 10 Power Station Road in Massachusetts, included a young guest and gave them a hands-on look at basic hose operations. Key abilities used in fireground operations, such as hose handling and nozzle control, were shown by members. Such training programs offer a regulated setting for community engagement and skill development.

These opportunities are frequently used by departments around Massachusetts to include citizens and promote awareness of emergency response activities. Early training exposure can foster interest in the fire service and aid in future recruitment attempts, according to fire officials. The visit demonstrated the department's involvement in Charlton's community participation, education, and response.
