The Massachusetts Department of Fire Services Firefighter Safety Equipment Grant Program has awarded the Wareham Fire Department $15,272.46.
The money will be used to buy a thermal imaging camera, power tools, and a dryer for personal protective equipment. By strengthening operating capabilities, improving gear maintenance, and improving visibility during fire situations, these elements promote firefighter safety. Additionally, the department acknowledged Captain Chris McIntosh and Acting Chief Mark Rogers for their efforts in obtaining the award.
