Medway Responds to Report of Possible Explosives

MEDWAY, MA — April 12th — After a person reported what appeared to be explosives in an attic, the Medway Fire Department was called.


Crews guarded the area and asked for expert resources as soon as they arrived. The Department of Fire Services and the Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad arrived to help with identification and safety protocols.


Two training grenades and a contraption known as a "Bouncing Betty" were found by investigators. All of the goods were found to be inert and not dangerous after evaluation.
