Hancocks Bridge, NJ — April 16th — During a joint simulation at Station 18-1 that focused on disoriented firefighter scenarios, the Lower Alloways Creek Fire & Rescue, located at 15 Maple Avenue, received training from Station 15 (Elsinboro). In low-visibility simulations, crews practiced identifying disorientation and safe departure strategies. Communication, self-rescue techniques, and coordinated help from neighboring firemen were among the evolutions.

Common fireground dangers, such as decreased visibility and shifting conditions that can affect crew orientation, were incorporated in the training. Regular firefighter survival and mayday drills, according to officers, enhance safety and guarantee that teams are equipped to react appropriately in the event of an emergency.
