Salem, NJ — March 27th — Companies from Elsinboro, Quinton, Alloway, Mannington, and LAC participated in a District 2 auto extrication drill at the Elsinboro Fire Company, located at 35 Delaware Avenue. Crews practiced real-world scenarios with an emphasis on coordinated collaboration, patient access, tool use, and scene safety. The training was modeled around typical responses to auto accidents in the region, when departments collaborate under mutual aid agreements.
Firefighters trained in hydraulic tool operations, crew communication, and stabilization. Joint training enhances coordination and aids in standardizing processes, according to the officers. Frequent multi-agency exercises promote safer operations and guarantee that crews can collaborate well in actual emergencies.
